About the team

The Internal Communications team exists to:

Drive alignment to the company vision and strategy, so every employee has a clear understanding of our priorities, why they're important, and how their work impacts our success

Build trust and connection, so employees are engaged as true advocates of the business; feel they have a clear voice and are listened to; and are equipped to deliver outstanding work through periods of transformational change, including the integration of Mollie and GoCardless

Scale and iterate on our fantastic culture, so the combination of Mollie and GoCardless creates an irresistible place to work, with a strong sense of belonging.

What excites you:

Help lead the day-to-day planning and output of the Internal Comms team; this includes ensuring we execute against projects, whilst keeping the momentum going with our continuous 'drumbeat' of regular communications

Develop communication plans to support the GoCardless and Mollie integration, helping colleagues across both businesses understand what's changing, why it matters, and what it means for them; building confidence as we come together

Be the primary owner of our Town Hall sessions, from shaping the agenda and briefing leaders and speakers to producing content, delivering the sessions and creating and sharing follow-up materials, so each one helps employees across the business understand where we're heading, and why

Devise and execute communication plans (for example, to roll out our engagement survey, business transformation, or to celebrate the launch of a new product) which deliver clear, measurable outcomes

Build connections to become a trusted adviser to stakeholders around the business to advise them on achieving their communications goals

Co-manage our communications channels, including our intranet, Slack, and email tool, and help shape how these channels continually develop and help us to show up across both GoCardless and Mollie

Host and measure regular listening sessions with employees from all of our locations, including colleagues joining us through Mollie, to help inform our work and identify opportunities for improvement and impact.

What excites us:

There's endless opportunity to have an impact in this role. The team sits at the heart of the business, helping to curate, contextualise, and build a shared understanding of the business' priorities, and the progress we're making. This is particularly important as we continue to integrate Mollie and GoCardless.

We distribute engaging company information and drive change via the right audiences, at the right time, using the most relevant channels. The integration is a huge opportunity for our team, meaning this is a demanding but very fulfilling time to join us. You should have demonstrable prior experience in internal communications at a fast-paced organisation where you've been able to prioritise effectively to deliver communications of a consistently high standard. You should be proactive, ultimately keeping your 'finger on the pulse' of the business to identify opportunities for internal comms to strengthen execution against our mission.

Specifically:

Experience in a busy internal communications team or function

Ability to originate and execute strategic internal communications plans; tactically deliver them; and measure results

Experience taking the lead on internal communications aligned to various business transformation projects, with involvement 'end to end'; experience of M&A or integration communications is a real plus

Confidently build relationships with stakeholders (at all levels), and other employees, so they trust us as experts

Exceptional writing ability; you're unfazed by jargon and can easily transform complexity into something compelling and easy to understand, all in our authoritative and friendly tone of voice

An omnichannel mindset; you know how to get the very best out of various channels and platforms, from straightforward emails through to Slack, Zoom, face to face, intranet and more; you're keen to explore new technologies that enhance what we do - such as AI

You excel at, and are unfazed by, being 'hands on' to get things done, often having to prioritise multiple tasks at once. As a small team, we all chip in to deliver collective results

Ideally, experience handling logistics and communications for large company events, before, during and after.

Base salary range: € 2060 - € 3100 (gross)

Base salary ranges are based on role, job level, location, and market data. Please note that whilst we strive to offer competitive compensation, our approach is to pay between the minimum and the mid-point (€2060 - €2580 (gross)) of the pay range until performance can be assessed in the role.
